We are looking to hire one or more part-time Behaviour Interventionists to work one on one with a child on the autism spectrum. There are multiple positions available with children ranging in age from 2-6 years old. You will be working under the supervision of two Board Certified Behaviour Analysts (BCBAs) with the possibility of obtaining supervision under the Behaviour Analyst Certification Board (BACB). You will be implementing an intervention program based on the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis.
During your sessions, you will be engaging the child in fun activities, while teaching a variety of skills, such as communication skills, life skills, self-care skills and social skills. You will be expected to collect data, and attend team meetings. You will receive ongoing training from the Behaviour Consultant. There will also be opportunities to work with additional families.
Hours: 2-4 sessions per week; each session is 1.5 - 2 hours. More available if interested. Parents are flexible with scheduling.
Job Qualifications
- Energetic and enthusiastic
- Background in related field is an asset (e.g. behaviour analysis & autism, psychology, education, rehabilitaton assistant etc.)
- Experience working with children and/or children with autism
- Vehicle and valid driver's license is an asset
- Spanish language spoken is an asset
- Minimum 19 years of age
- Clear criminal record check completed within last 12 months
- Minimum 1 year commitment

Rate of Pay: Dependent on Experience, starting at $21/hr - $28/hr
