Dog Walker

Are you a dog enthusiast who loves spending time outdoors? Pawz Unleashed is looking for a passionate and responsible Group Dog Walker to join our team in beautiful Vancouver, BC. If you're a dog lover who enjoys exercise and wants to make furry friends while getting paid, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

The Job

• Pick up/drop off dogs from their home
• Transport safely to the trail or beach
• Walk dogs of various breeds and sizes in accordance with client instructions
• Walk up to 6-8 dogs safety on leash and monitor off leash play
• Return dogs home with a towel off and water refresh
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all dogs in your care.
• Engage with dogs in a positive and stimulating manner.
• Keep accurate records of daily walks and any unusual behavior.
• Provide daily walk reports to clients through our client system

Requirements

• Passion for dogs and a strong understanding of their behavior.
• Prior experience with dogs or pet care is preferred but not required
• Physically fit and able to walk for extended periods in all weather conditions.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Previous experience with dogs
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while following client instructions and company policies
• Clean driving record
• Vehicle is preferred but a company vehicle will be provided for the right candidate
• 1 year commitment
• Clean background check must be provided
• Reliable phone with a data plan
• Pet first aid is a plus !

• Strong Communication: Our clients rely on us to keep them up to date on their dogs well being when they are in our care.
• Reliability: Clients must be able to count on you to show up on time for walks.
• Physical strength and stamina: You must be able to handle larger dogs if needed and keep control of a leash if a dog pulls. You must also be able to be on your feet and walk for extended periods of time in all weather conditions.
• Client focused attitude: We want someone who cares about animals and people.
